This volume constitutes my best shots of everyday life in Cuba. I traveled from La Habana to Sancti Spiritus to Cienfuegos to Pinar del Rio to Vinales, over one thousand miles of roadways. The collection of images ranges from street life to Cuban League baseball games to tobacco farms. The strength of this book lies in its portraitures.
Cuba Si! is what indigenous Cubans shouted as they marched according to governmental patriotic orders. The Revolution is now over although the numerous signs never let you forget that Che and Fidel were the founders and Raul Castro is now the transition leader. Cuba is a series of parallel pastels, immobile cigar aficionados, ox carts, antiquarian American classic autos, and women hanging out in doorways. In only eight days, I shot over 2000 shots. I was "in the zone" the entire time and thank the people of Cuba for cooperating with my drive by shootings.
